Our home turned 100 in 2019 and I wanted to introduce more southern charm into the farmhouse so I partnered with the local paint and wallpaper specialists at James T. I love the modern farmhouse style of high contrast with moody walls and industrial elements. Keeping it classic in detail has been my #1 goal. There is no denying the home’s architecture is a mix of antebellum and foursquare (farmhouse). The home had been vacant for years, so we gutted the main level. It started in 2016 when we moved into our farmhouse fixer-upper.

~ MOVE IN DAY ~Īnd just like that - here comes the stainless. I'll share more details in another post, but needless to say - it was perfect for our family. Ikea cabinets have some amazing organizational options. I wanted to contrast the chrome hardware that is on the perimeter cabinets. So, white it is! I did, however, find this rustic iron pulls for the island. It's great to have a family you can depend on! Originally, I was planning to paint the island black or navy but since the cabinets weren't wood, that would not have been a smart idea. Our other contractor never finished the job, but that's another post. We enlisted the help of my cousin to help wrap up the electrical.
